Embracing Achievements and the Journey of Courage

Hey there, dear friends,

I owe you all an apology for my absence. Life took me on a whirlwind journey, and even though I frequently thought about coming back here to share my thoughts, I couldn’t do it. But here we are, reconnecting.

Just last evening, while scrolling through Instagram, I stumbled upon a story where the poster was saying that with only two months left in the year, there seem to be three kinds of people: those who set goals for 2023, achieved them (or at least some), and are proud of their progress; others believe that there’s still much to be accomplished in the remaining two months; and then, there are those who feel like the year has slipped away, and they’ll have to try again in 2024.

Which category resonates with you?

After reflecting on that story, I can confidently say I’m predominantly in the first category, filled with immense pride for what I’ve achieved in 2023. My primary goal for the year was to successfully complete my degree, and hooray, I did it and I’m over the moon! It was a journey filled with moments of courage and faith amidst a lot of fear. Perhaps I’ll delve into this in greater detail at some point.

As I was putting together a work presentation about my career journey recently, I realized that it felt like an adventure akin to climbing a mountain. Reaching the peak of a mountain involves going up and down, encountering breathtaking scenery, getting lost, and navigating tricky terrain. But when you finally stand at the summit, the sense of accomplishment is beyond words. It’s a reminder that in life, as on the mountain, you must take the next step to get forward.

Mount Sabinyo (still the highest mountain I have climbed), which I climbed, holds a special place in my heart. Whenever life has thrown me challenges, I’ve felt a strong urge to revisit it which is not realistic. However, the memories I have of being on it serve as a reset button for my reality. And so, as 2023 winds down, I’m not waiting until the year-end to express my gratitude for being here, alive, healthy, and still dreaming of the future.

How about your 2023? What are you most proud of dear friend?

As I wrap up, I want to say stay dreaming ! And lastly, here are some fantastic videos I watched last night.
